This 80-hour course fulfills the educational requirements necessary to sit for the BRPT board exam. We will cover essential introductory topics that will equip you to become a successful Sleep Technologist. You will explore the history of Sleep Medicine, the equipment utilized during sleep studies, common sleep disorders, and the various treatment solutions available. This course includes comprehensive hands-on training that prepares you to serve as a sleep trainee in the lab. You will gain skills in monitoring patients during polysomnographic diagnostic studies and providing PAP therapy. As an AASM-accredited sleep center, we offer a unique opportunity to work with patients and experienced trainers during live sleep studies. Shadowing board-certified sleep technicians in real-time scenarios will help you bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical experience.

PSG Procedures


In the STAR training course you will learn diagnostic, titration, MSLT and MWT procedures. You will see how to perform each procedure, interact with patients, and assist during the patient setup process.


Data Collection

Ensuring clean data collection is an important role a sleep tech has. You will be taught how to record, document, store and transfer data, so that scorers and physicians can use your data to interpret sleep disorders.

Is there a deposit?

To confirm your enrollment, a deposit of $500 is required. Please ensure that the remaining tuition balance is paid at least 14 days prior to the start of the first class. This policy helps us efficiently manage our resources and secures your spot in the program.

If I sign up can I get a refund?

To ensure a full refund, all cancellation requests must be emailed to mysleeptraining@smanet.us at least 14 days prior to your scheduled session. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. Please adhere to this policy to avoid any financial loss. Thank you for your understanding.
